Profile: Doug Williams is often hailed as one of the greatest wrestlers to emerge from Europe. Williams has an extensive background in martial-arts and judo. In 1992 he became the British national champion at the 72kg weight class in judo before joining the Hammerlock wrestling school in 1993. After a modest early career Williams shot to prominence when he competed in the first televised british wrestling event in nearly a decade against Christopher Daniels in 1999. Since this date, Williams has competed extensively in the FWA and ROH promotions among others, winning major honors wherever he has gone. Williams made his Pro Wrestling NOAH debut in the Navigation with Breeze 2003 tour, and has started to slowly make inways into the NOAH heavyweight ranks.
