    Profile:

A former sumo wrestling star, Takeshi Rikio was spotted by All Japan and taken into the dojo. He debuted in All Japan, but before he could get many matches under his belt, he joined Mitsuharu Misawa's breakaway promotion, NOAH. In NOAH, he developed a rivalry with Takeshi Morishima, but in 2001 the two would form a new generation tag team, that quickly made waves in NOAH. In early 2004 Rikio defeated Akira Taue in a match for the number one contendership to the GHC Heavyweight Title in what many considered a huge upset, but was unable to unseat Kenta Kobashi from the belt. In November 2004 Rikio became the first man in 13 months to pin Kobashi, utilizing his new Muso finisher which he invented with the help of a legendary sumo wrestler. Rikio followed up on his victory over Kobashi by defeating Kobashi on 3/5/05 at the Budokan to become the 7th GHC Heavyweight champio. Rikio is a huge monster of a man, with immense power that he utilizes ruthlessly, and now with the title in his hands it remains to be seen if any wrestler will be able to stop Rikio's reign.
