Profile:
Yoshinobu Kanemaru was an avid baseball player during his school days, representing Yamanashi Gakuin University's team as pitcher. He joined All Japan directly after graduating from university, entering it's junior division. Despite turning heads in All Japan, it wouldn't be until Kanemaru joined NOAH that he truly broke out, assuming a leading role in it's upstart junior division and becoming the first ever GHC Jr. Heavyweight Champion in June, 2001. A quick and cunning young punk, Kanemaru's charisma and all-round ability has won him much fanfare. In 2004, at NOAH's first Tokyo Dome show, Kanemaru overcame the legendary Jushin 'Thunder' Liger to reclaim the GHC Jr. Heavyweight Championship title to NOAH.
