Profile:
Trained by Yoshiaki Fujiwara, Ikeda debuted for Fujiwara Gumi in late 1993. He moved from there in 1995 to the BattlARTS promotion, where he made a name for himself and had several classic matches with BattlARTS founder, Yuki Ishikawa. He began making appearances in All Japan occasionally, then left BattlARTS in early 2000 to join All Japan full-time. When Misawa split from All Japan in mid-2000, Ikeda, along with all but two of All Japan's native wrestlers, followed Misawa's cause. In NOAH, he joined Misawa's WAVE faction, but broke away from it in 2001, wanting individual success. A gifted wrestler, Ikeda utilizes a blend of technical wrestling and hard-hitting strikes. Ikeda has formed a regular tag team with fellow ex-BattlARTS wrestler Mohammed Yone. In December 2004 it was announced that as of the first of January 2005, Ikeda would be leaving NOAH and becoming a freelance wrestler.
