Aoyagi's pro wrestling debut was a high profile one in FMW, as he took on a pioneer who was taking the world by storm in 1989, Atsushi Onita. In 1994, he wrestled Onita again, this time in a dangerous explosion match. Also in the early 1990's, he competed in New Japan as part of Shiro Koshinaka's Heisei Ishingun group. In late 2000, he appeared in NOAH, along with former HI member, Akitoshi Saito. Although not contracted to NOAH, he spends most of his time there, often in lighthearted matches with senior wrestlers. A martial artist, Aoyagi throws some lethal kicks at his opponents.
