    Profile:

Jun Akiyama was an amaresu star throughout his school days, achieving great results and being spotted by scouts of All Japan. He was recruited by All Japan, making his professional wrestling debut in September, 1992, against future friend and enemy, Kenta Kobashi. He was nicknamed a "supernova" from the time of his debut, because of his amazing skill for such an inexperienced wrestler. He showed uncanny ability from day one, and made remarkable progress over the next few days, becoming one of the world's top wrestlers by 1996. He rose up the ladder steadily in All Japan, and was closing in on the Triple Crown before the NOAH split. After joining NOAH, he seized the role of company ace quickly, defeating Misawa and Kobashi to establish himself as a leading figure in the company. One of the most gifted wrestlers in the world today, Akiyama is coldhearted and cocky towards opponents, but skillful and diverse, sporting a win-loss record that backs up his arrogance. In 2004 Akiyama created the GHC Hardcore Openweight Title, a belt with unique rules: Should an opponent last 15 minutes against the champion, a title change would occur. Still as dangerous as ever, Akiyama leads STERNNESS with pride.
